Is it already December? Leaves have fallen from the trees, coffee cups have turned to red… At Deer&Doe, we felt like prolonging Fall (our favorite season!) and sharing with you this very American outfit: leggings and plaid flannel shirt, made from the Bruyère shirt pattern.
I sewed this Bruyère in a very soft cotton flannel, perfect for coping with lower temperatures. For extra softness, I recommend using double-napped 100% cotton fabric. In order to avoid having your pattern pieces lose their shape if they are cut on the bias, you can use some light interfacing, as I have done here on the button-band.
If you don’t like wearing leggings as pants, this outfit would also work great with dark skinny jeans, or a short black Brume skirt.
